What to do in November

November in the garden is all about winter-proofing and spring planning. Before the hardest frosts hit, prioritise applying a generous layer of mulch to insulate vulnerable perennial and shrub roots. This is also your ideal opportunity to plant tulips for a guaranteed spring display. Use fallen leaves to create leaf mold, move potted plants into sheltered spots, and bring tender plants under cover.
