Easy-care guide to improving clay soil

Heavy clay soil can be a difficult challenge for gardeners, as it tends to compact easily and drain poorly. One way to improve heavy clay soil is by adding grit, such as coarse sand or gravel, to help break up the clay particles and improve drainage. Grit can also help provide air pockets in the soil, allowing roots to penetrate more easily and promoting overall plant health.
When adding grit to heavy clay soil, it is important to mix it thoroughly throughout the soil to ensure even distribution.
